Lakeland was founded way back in 1885 and today is a
pleasing blend of the old and new to suit most every taste.

While today the general area is becoming a Mecca for
distribution, warehousing and light industry... in days gone
by Lakeland's primary economical base was supported by
citrus groves, cattle ranches, farming & phosphate mines.

Today's population exceeds 171,000 in the near by greater
Lakeland metropolitan area & over 472,000 in Polk County
proper. We are only 45 minutes from Tampa on the west
coast and less than an hour to Orlando and Disney World.

Our area is renowned for it's outdoor activities, exceptional
recreational facilities, water sports and all the many lakes
from which we originally get our name.

For more information on the Lakeland area we suggest you
